Tzolis: Mosquera helped me settle at Arsenal

Christos Tzolis has revealed that Cristhian Mosquera played a key role in helping him settle in London following his summer move to Arsenal. The Greek international joined the Gunners from Club Brugge for £34 million to provide cover on the left flank, and he has credited the defender with being the first teammate to reach out to him.

Pre-Season Bond

Tzolis said that Mosquera was the first player to help him acclimatise, with the pair striking up a conversation during pre-season. "There are a lot of guys that really try to speak, to help me from the beginning," he said. "I think [Cristhian] Mosquera was the first one. We started to talk, it was in the pre-season. He's close to my age as well, so I can say Mosquera."

The winger returned to the English top flight for the first time since 2024, when he ended a three-year spell at Norwich City. He has impressed across all competitions since his arrival at the Emirates Stadium.

Return to Fitness

Tzolis has been sidelined for the past few weeks with a hamstring injury that has kept him out of six games. He has not scored for his new side yet, but he is now back to full fitness and keen to continue impressing manager Mikel Arteta.

"I'm feeling good," he said of his fitness. "Before, I was one month away from the team; I was injured, but now I'm feeling good again. I had a good rehab, and I feel fit and strong again to help my team."

"I always try to give everything to win, and the coach is the one who makes the decisions. I was happy that I had the chance to play and I will always perform."
