Tottenham Hotspur interim head coach Igor Tudor criticised his own players and accused Fulham's Raul Jimenez of 'cheating' after a 2-1 defeat at Craven Cottage. The loss extended Spurs' winless run to a record-equalling 10 Premier League matches.
Tudor was furious that a push by Jimenez on Radu Dragusin in the build-up to Fulham's opening goal was not penalised, especially after a similar incident saw a Spurs goal ruled out against Arsenal last week. 'He (Jimenez) was not thinking about the ball, he was thinking how to cheat,' Tudor said. 'So it's cheating and there's the foul.'
The Croatian also criticised referee Thomas Bramall, calling him a 'home team referee' who 'doesn't understand football'. Fulham doubled their lead through Alex Iwobi before Richarlison pulled one back for Spurs, but it was not enough to avoid defeat.
Tudor admitted the problems at Tottenham are 'much bigger' and called for more personality and fight from his players. 'We lack when we attack, we are lacking the quality to score the goal, we are lacking in the middle to run and we are lacking behind to stay there to suffer and not concede the goal,' he said.
Fulham boss Marco Silva refused to comment on the controversial opener, insisting his side deserved the three points. 'The score should be different with the amount of chances we created,' he said.
