The Bundesliga champions are monitoring the situation closely, with manager Thomas Tuchel keen to reunite with the player he coached during their Champions League-winning campaign at Chelsea in 2021.
United have had three bids rejected by Chelsea, who are holding out for a fee of £58 million plus £7 million in add-ons. The stalemate has reportedly forced Erik ten Hag to explore alternative targets, including Brighton's Moises Caicedo and Bayern's Ryan Gravenberch. Mount's contract expires next summer, and he has indicated he will not extend, putting pressure on Chelsea to sell.
According to The Guardian, Bayern are now preparing to capitalise on United's impasse. Tuchel remains a strong admirer of Mount's abilities, having seen him thrive at Chelsea before the player's form dipped following Tuchel's departure.
