Davinson Sánchez and Tanguy Ndombele Depart Tottenham for Galatasaray

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the departures of Davinson Sánchez and Tanguy Ndombele to Turkish club Galatasaray. The moves come after the English transfer window closed, but other European windows remain open.

Ndombele joins Galatasaray on loan for the remainder of the season, with an option to make the move permanent. Sánchez, who made two appearances under manager Ange Postecoglou this season, has secured a permanent transfer for a fee of €15 million (approximately £12.8 million).

The departures are a boost for Postecoglou, who has been keen to reduce the size of his first-team squad. Ndombele, a France international, will now have the opportunity to play in the Champions League, having spent the previous two seasons on loan away from Spurs.

Ndombele was initially given a chance to revive his Tottenham career under Postecoglou, but an ankle injury in pre-season and subsequent poor timekeeping led to the manager approving his exit. Sánchez, a Colombia centre-back, ends his six-year association with the club after 207 appearances, though his time at Spurs was mixed. His last outing for the club ended in a penalty shootout defeat to Fulham in the Carabao Cup, where his spot-kick was saved.
