Thomas Frank admitted Tottenham's 3-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest was a 'very bad performance' and stressed that turning around the club's fortunes is 'not a quick fix'. The Spurs head coach, whose side have won just one of their last seven Premier League matches, said: 'If no one gets the time, no one can turn this around.'
Spurs registered only one shot on target at the City Ground, where Callum Hudson-Odoi scored twice and Ibrahim Sangaré added a stunning third. Frank, who took charge in June, insisted he remained calm despite a 'hurricane' inside him, and reiterated that the project requires patience.
Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario was at fault for both of Hudson-Odoi's goals, but Frank defended him, saying: 'Mistakes like that happen. When things are going against us we need to keep doing the right thing and keep our cool heads.'
Frank also said he would investigate Djed Spence's petulant reaction to being substituted in the second half. The full-back threw a warm-up jacket into the dugout after being withdrawn, having previously apologised for ignoring Frank after a defeat by Chelsea last month.
