The manager's position is under threat following Saturday's last-gasp 2-1 home defeat to West Ham, a result that prompted fans to chant for him to be sacked. Tottenham remain 14th in the Premier League, having won only two of their past 13 league matches.
Despite their domestic struggles, Spurs are still well placed to reach the Champions League knockout stage, though the club are braced for empty seats at their stadium for the visit of Dortmund.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have added former Ajax manager John Heitinga to Frank's staff, replacing assistant Matt Wells, who left before Christmas to become head coach at Colorado Rapids. Heitinga took Sunday's session, with Frank in his usual overseeing role. Frank said he had driven the appointment, despite suggestions Heitinga could replace him on a caretaker basis if the board decides to act.
