England midfielder Ella Toone has heaped praise on manager Sarina Wiegman, describing her as an "incredible leader" ahead of the Lionesses' Euro 2025 qualifying campaign.
Toone, a key player in England's Euro 2022 triumph, highlighted Wiegman's tactical expertise and ability to inspire her squad. "She's so calm under pressure and knows exactly how to get the best out of us," the Manchester United star told reporters.
Wiegman's Winning Formula
The Dutch coach, who took charge in 2021, has transformed England into one of the most formidable teams in women's football. Under her guidance, the Lionesses claimed their first major trophy at Euro 2022 and reached the 2023 World Cup final.
"Her attention to detail is unbelievable," Toone continued. "Every training session, every team talk - she makes sure we're completely prepared. That's why we've been so successful."

With qualification for Euro 2025 starting next month, Toone emphasised the squad's determination to defend their European crown. "We know every team will want to beat us now," she said. "But with Sarina leading us, we believe we can achieve something special again."
