Six Flags Over Texas has announced plans to open a new roller coaster in 2026 that it claims will set six world records, including the tallest, fastest, and longest dive coaster. The ride, named Tormenta Rampaging Run, will be located in a newly designed Spanish-themed area called Rancho de la Tormenta at the Arlington, Texas park.
According to specifications released by Six Flags, the coaster will climb to a height of 309 feet before a 285-foot drop at a 95-degree angle, reaching a top speed of 87 miles per hour along 4,199 feet of track. The ride will also feature a 218-foot Immelmann inversion and a 179-foot vertical loop, both expected to be industry records.
The park claims the coaster has already broken six world records, including those for tallest, longest, and fastest dive coaster, as well as the highest drop with inversion. Passengers must be between 48 inches and 76 inches tall to ride.
The announcement comes as amusement parks across the United States invest in record-breaking attractions to attract visitors. Six Flags has not yet confirmed an exact opening date for the coaster, stating only that it will debut later this year.
