Value Horse Racing Tips: Steve Jones' Saturday ITV Selections
Steve Jones' ITV Horse Racing Tips for Saturday

It is time for the first Classic of the Flat season, and our tipster Steve Jones has identified some each-way value on Saturday's ITV racing.

HKJC World Pool Palace House Stakes

It should pay to be a Nobody in the HKJC World Pool Palace House Stakes. There is likely to be a fierce early pace in this Newmarket Group 3 sprint, and that would be perfect for AIN'T NOBODY (2.55). He came close to causing a huge shock when a fast-finishing second behind Aussie speedster Asfoora in the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes at York last August. The weights favour him this time as he locks horns with Asfoora again, and he is relatively unexposed over 5f having spent most of his career racing over further. This will be his first start of the season, but he did run one of his better races first time out last year when third behind subsequent Group 1 winner Big Mojo at Ascot. With Ryan Moore booked to ride, he is worth supporting at 11-1. Have 1pt each-way. Plenty of bookies are paying out on four places.

Betfred 2000 Guineas

The interesting runner in the Betfred 2000 Guineas is Irish raider THESECRETADVERSARY (3.35). He kept good company as a two-year-old, and he looked to have improved over the winter when charging clear to win a 7f Leopardstown Group 3 last month. There was a lot to like about the way Fozzy Stack's colt finished his race to come clear of Group 1 Phoenix Stakes winner Power Blue. The return to a mile looks certain to suit, and his pedigree backs up that impression. The quick ground is just what he wants, so he has plenty in his favour. Have 1pt each-way at 25-1. Several firms are offering four places.

Turners Handicap

NAVAL LIGHT (4.10) has yet to win in five starts, but that could change in the Turners Handicap. He was last off the bridle when third in a 7f Doncaster novice contest on his return to action at Doncaster's Lincoln meeting. He filled the same position over the same distance on his final start of last season at York's Ebor Festival. The return to 6f looks perfect for Karl Burke's runner. The only time he has run over that trip was when runner-up behind smart Stellar Sunrise at Glorious Goodwood last summer. With cheekpieces on for the first time, it could all be about to click. Have 1pt each-way at 12-1. Most firms go four places.
