BBC Sport has unveiled its extensive coverage plans for the 2026 World Snooker Championship, which will take place at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield from 18 April. Viewers can follow every moment across BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Four, and uninterrupted streaming on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app.
Presenters Hazel Irvine, Seema Jaswal, Rishi Persad, and Catrin Heledd will lead the TV coverage, with reporting from Shabnam Younus-Jewell and Abigail Davis. Snooker legends Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry, John Parrott, Ken Doherty, and Dennis Taylor will provide expert analysis throughout the tournament.
Radio coverage will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra, and BBC Sounds, offering regular live updates. The BBC Sport website and app will feature daily live streams and text pages with in-depth analysis from reporters at the Crucible. Social media channels will share exclusive behind-the-scenes content, highlight clips, and player interviews.
Defending champion Zhao Xintong will return to defend his title, while Ronnie O'Sullivan aims for a record-breaking eighth world championship. They face competition from Judd Trump, four-time champion Mark Selby, Kyren Wilson, Neil Robertson, and Shaun Murphy.
