Sky Sports presenter Johnny Phillips was forced to apologise after Rayan Cherki used expletive language in his live post-match interview following Manchester City's 4-1 win over Crystal Palace.
Cherki's blunt assessment
The Manchester City midfielder scored twice in the win at Selhurst Park, but the French international was not happy with his first-half performance. When asked what he thought of his display, Cherki said his performance was 'so-so' before offering a blunter response, saying he was 'S***' in the first half.
Apology issued on air
The incident prompted an on-air apology from Phillips, as the interview descended into chaos alongside Erling Haaland. Sky Sports has not commented further on the matter.
