Teddy Sheringham Reveals Arsenal's Champions League Final Blueprint
Sheringham Gives Arsenal Champions League Final Blueprint

Arsenal are one win away from Champions League glory, 20 years after their first final. Manchester United won their first final in the revamped competition, and Teddy Sheringham has told the Gunners how they can emulate the 1999 comeback victory.

Sheringham's Advice for Arsenal

Arsenal face holders Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest, with Luis Enrique's side providing a stern challenge. Sheringham, speaking via BOYLE Sports, said: 'You've got to back the English team in a game like this, even if it is Arsenal, but it's going to be a tough ask. You never know though. We've seen that this Arsenal team knows how to win games. They have an uncanny manner about them to grind results out of nothing.'

When asked who could take the roles of super-subs Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he added: 'If they need two players to step up in injury time, I think it will be Eberechi Eze and Martin Odegaard to win it. They are two quality players that know how to finish. Our two goals were scruffy goals to win the competition, but those two boys strike the ball how the ball should be struck.'

Arsenal's Road to the Final

Arsenal were eliminated by PSG in last season's semi-finals but haven't lost a single European fixture this season. Manager Mikel Arteta said after clinching the league title: 'We need to celebrate because we need that energy to flow. Going against that would be a big mistake. We've already talked about what we have to do in Budapest, how we're going to use all the incredible energy towards that final. We can't wait to write a new chapter in the history of our club and win the Champions League.'
