Alan Shearer has asserted that Manchester City remain Arsenal's primary challengers in the Premier League title race, contradicting Gary Lineker's suggestion that Chelsea could be serious contenders.

Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Shearer emphasised City's experience and ability to maintain form after Christmas, despite defensive vulnerabilities. Micah Richards agreed, noting Chelsea's improvement but doubting their consistency.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta praised his side's consistency but acknowledged injuries to key players, including 'big Gabi' and the return of Noni. He highlighted the depth of the squad, with Piero Hincapie performing well on his return.
