Slot acknowledged the result was a positive response but noted similarities to the previous defeat: "Of course it is the perfect response when you look at the result but every stat is exactly the same as three days ago." Robertson, who had been linked with a move away, said: "A bit more like it. I'm not sure if I have a point to prove in a Liverpool shirt."
Salah's goal was his first for Liverpool since November, and Slot emphasised the importance of attackers scoring: "If they don't score for a long time they are always going to try and force it." The win moves Liverpool into the FA Cup quarter-finals, while Wolves remain focused on their Premier League survival battle.
