Bukayo Saka has moved to reassure Arsenal fans about his future, stating he wants to win trophies with the club amid ongoing contract talks. The winger currently has two years remaining on his current deal, but the Gunners are keen to secure his long-term commitment.
Speaking ahead of Tuesday's Champions League encounter with Real Madrid at the Emirates Stadium, Saka emphasised his desire to succeed at Arsenal. 'I want to win and I want to win wearing this badge,' he said. 'It is pretty clear, the fans know how much I love them.'
The 23-year-old insisted there was no rush to finalise a new contract, saying: 'I have got two years left on my contract so it's pretty relaxed.' He added that his thoughts on the matter were already well known, suggesting negotiations would proceed in due course.
Saka received a hero's welcome when he returned from injury against Fulham last week, a moment he described as 'special'. 'It just reassured everything,' he said. 'You had to be in the stadium to feel the noise and energy they brought that night for me. I am really grateful.'
