Bukayo Saka has posted a video of Myles Lewis-Skelly making light of the "bottlers" tag as the pair celebrated their Premier League title with bottles of champagne.

Arsenal End 22-Year Wait

The Gunners were crowned champions on Tuesday night after Manchester City could only draw at Bournemouth, meaning they failed to take their fight to the final day. It ends a 22-year wait for a league title as Mikel Arteta's side end a run of three successive second-place finishes. Arsenal have led for much of the campaign, but those outside the club claimed they were threatening to let another strong position slip, having done so in the past.

In 2023 and 2024, they led City going into the final weeks, only to lose key games and allow them to claim the title. Recently, they were beaten at home by Bournemouth before going down at the Etihad, and the team had to deal with accusations of "bottling" the title once again.

Celebration Video Goes Viral

Lewis-Skelly has made light of that in a video recorded by Saka. As the team celebrated, the young star, holding champagne, said: "They called us bottlers, and now we're holding the bottles!" Arsenal responded impressively to losing at City, winning their next four games without conceding a goal. Pep Guardiola's side meanwhile drew at Everton and then let points slip at Bournemouth, ultimately ending their challenge.

The Gunners could yet end their memorable season with even more glory as they have a Champions League final to come this month. They will face PSG in Budapest as they aim to win the European Cup for the first time against the team who knocked them out of last season's tournament in the semi-finals.

Arsenal's players were together for Bournemouth's draw with City, which ultimately secured them the title. They celebrated together at their London Colney training centre, with images of them all being seen online.

Academy Graduates Shine

Saka and Lewis-Skelly are two of the academy graduates in the team. The former has been part of Arteta's tenure from the start and played in the team that hit rock bottom in 2021. The Spaniard retained the faith of those above him and mounted a charge towards the top four, before shrewd investment turned them into title contenders.
