Former Liverpool star Sadio Mane has become a father for the first time. The 32-year-old Al-Nassr forward and his wife Aisha Tamba, 19, have welcomed a baby girl, as confirmed by his Saudi Arabian club.
Mane married Tamba in an Islamic arranged ceremony in January 2024, 14 months after their surprise wedding. The couple had kept their relationship private before tying the knot, with Tamba still a student at the time.
The Senegal international celebrated his goal in Al-Nassr's 3-1 win over Al-Kholood on Friday by rocking his arms in a nod to his new arrival. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring before Mane doubled the lead, with Jhon Duran adding a third before half-time.
Al-Nassr posted a video of Mane reciting a verse from the Quran at the training ground, captioned: 'A new blessing for Sadio Mane! Wishing him and his family endless joy.'
Tamba previously told the Mail she felt no pressure from Mane's fame and money, saying: 'I will remain a humble person committed to my faith.' Mane has expressed a desire for three or four children, adding: 'Whatever the number is, I will accept it.'
