Marcus Rashford has demonstrated his commitment to education by returning to school just 24 hours after his match-winning performance against Arsenal. The Manchester United youngster, who scored twice in the FA Cup quarter-final, was spotted arriving at Ashton on Mersey School in an Audi A3, wearing his club coat.
The 18-year-old striker is determined to complete his A-Levels despite his sudden rise to stardom. His manager, Louis van Gaal, has warned that the pressure on Rashford will increase following his goal-scoring heroics. 'Now the pressure shall rise for him, because all of the people shall look at him in another way,' said Van Gaal.
Rashford made his debut for Manchester United against FC Midtylland in the Europa League, scoring twice, and repeated the feat in his home debut against Arsenal. He is set for his third consecutive start against Watford on Wednesday.
Van Gaal praised Rashford's humility, saying, 'He's a very modest guy, so I don't think that will be a problem. But when you have so much attention from the media it can go another way. But I believe he shall keep his feet on the ground.'
