Ryan Naderi scored a hat-trick as Rangers defeated Partick Thistle 6-2 in a bounce game on Monday. New signings Vanja Dragojevic and Olwethu Makhanya made their first appearances for the club in the friendly at the Rangers Training Centre.
New signings get minutes
Dragojevic, who completed a big-money move from Partizan Belgrade, played 45 minutes as he builds fitness ahead of his competitive debut. Makhanya, who arrived from Philadelphia Union, made his first appearance of any kind for Rangers.
The match served as preparation for Thursday's Europa League third qualifying round first leg against Jagiellonia Bialystok. Rangers travel to Poland on Tuesday for the tie.
Goals galore
Naderi's treble and a strike from Bojan Miovski gave Rangers a 4-1 lead at half-time. After the break, Luca Rankin, son of Airdrie manager John Rankin, and academy graduate Lyle Wark added further goals to make it 6-2.
Connor Barron, Lyall Cameron, and Clinton Nsiala also featured, with their long-term futures at Ibrox uncertain following summer transfer business.
