Paris Saint-Germain host Barcelona in the Champions League this evening in a clash between the top two sides in the league phase. PSG, European champions for the past two seasons, sit top of the table, narrowly ahead of second-placed Barcelona.
Top-of-the-table showdown
After two European matchdays, both teams have six points and a goal difference of seven. PSG have scored one more goal than Barcelona, which puts them at the top of the standings.
Barcelona come into the match in fine form and have yet to lose a game this season in any competition. PSG are also on a strong run, having beaten Manchester City 4-2 in their last Champions League outing, with Erling Haaland scoring twice for the hosts. In the previous matchday, they defeated Slovan Bratislava 6-1.
Barcelona's two wins in the competition so far came against Galatasaray and Feyenoord, with nine goals scored across those matches.
