Liverpool's Premier League match against Fulham at Craven Cottage was delayed by 15 minutes on Sunday afternoon due to a medical emergency involving a member of staff.
The Premier League confirmed the delay in a statement, saying: 'Due to a medical incident in the crowd at Craven Cottage, kick-off for today’s match between Fulham and Liverpool has been delayed until 3:15pm.' Sky Sports reported that the incident involved a Fulham staff member and that an ambulance had been called.
Both sets of players initially headed to their dressing rooms for the scheduled 3pm kick-off. Liverpool's players later emerged to warm up while Fulham remained inside, before returning to start the game at 3.15pm.
Liverpool were without forward Hugo Ekitike due to a hamstring injury. Manager Arne Slot explained: 'Alexander Isak has been out for a few weeks, meaning Hugo had to play more minutes than he did all season, which led to a slight hamstring injury. He will be out for today and hopefully back for the Arsenal game, but that is not certain yet.'
