Premier League Injury Updates: Saka, Haaland, and More

Premier League clubs are managing fresh injury concerns as domestic action resumes after midweek European fixtures. Arsenal and Liverpool are among the teams affected, with several key players facing spells on the sidelines.

Arsenal and Liverpool Hit by Injuries

Arsenal fear Bukayo Saka could spend up to two months on the sidelines after picking up a quad injury in their 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the Champions League. According to the BBC, Saka could miss multiple big games. Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the England winger would undergo an MRI scan on Friday.

Martin Zubimendi has recovered from an injury suffered in a warm-down, while Arteta said "let's see" on Piero Hincapie. Christopher Tzolis could be back in the squad, but William Saliba remains a long-term absentee.

Liverpool will be without one of their star men for the visit of high-flying Brighton to Merseyside. Erling Haaland has also been a doubt after picking up an issue against Ipswich, and he missed Tuesday's 5-1 win over AEK Athens.

Other Clubs' Injury News

Aston Villa's Unai Emery will make a late decision on Johan Manzambi for the visit of Manchester City. He confirmed that Amadou Onana, Matteo Ruggeri, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka would continue to be absent. Asked about Manzambi, Emery said: "It is not a big injury, but in case he doesn't feel 100 per cent comfortable, training firstly... The plan is, can you run? Can you touch the ball? This is the process."

Bournemouth's Marco Rose confirmed that Junior Kroupi is in contention to feature for the first time this season when they travel to Manchester United. However, Alex Toth will be out "for some weeks" with a hamstring injury, while Alex Scott is expected to return in November.

Brentford Boost

Brentford defender Jannik Schuster has returned to training after missing the club's last match against Liverpool. Keith Andrews reported no fresh injury concerns and is encouraged by the progress of Nathan Collins and Mathis Jensen. Both Vitaly Janelt and Yehor Yarmolyuk are suspended for Saturday's match against Hull.
