Palmeiras starlet Estevao Willian is reportedly prioritising a move to Barcelona despite interest from Premier League clubs Chelsea and Arsenal. The 16-year-old, nicknamed 'Messinho', has a £47million release clause in his contract and has been scouted extensively by the London rivals.
Estevao made his senior debut for Palmeiras last month and impressed for Brazil at the under-17 World Cup, scoring three goals and providing three assists. He is said to favour a switch to Spain over England, having toured Barcelona's facilities with his father.
Barcelona had cooled their interest due to the price tag but are now stepping up efforts, with reports suggesting Palmeiras may not demand the full release clause. Chelsea have already tabled an offer, while Arsenal maintain regular contact with his entourage.
Estevao has previously stated his dream is to play for Barcelona, citing childhood idols Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suarez. He said: 'To play for Barcelona, which is one of the best clubs in the world... it would be a dream come true.'
