Darwin Nunez has seemingly announced Liverpool's signing of Ronald Araujo before the club. The Uruguayan striker also reaffirmed his love for the Reds, despite moving on to Al-Hilal last summer.
Details of the Move
Liverpool are understood to have secured 27-year-old centre-half Araujo on a season-long loan from Barcelona, with the contract reportedly holding an option to buy next summer for around £47million. While the move is expected to be a done deal, the Anfield elite are yet to post an official announcement confirming the move.
Nunez's Social Media Post
That hasn't stopped Nunez from breaking the news on social media, however, taking to X on Friday to share a heartfelt message with his international team-mate. He also showered Liverpool with praise, 12 months on from his exit.
Sharing a photo of himself and Araujo with his 949,000 followers, Nunez wrote: "I wish you the best in this great club, friend @RonaldAraujo_4...I'm deeply glad that you can feel what the affection and support of the @LFC fans is like, they are special and they're going to make you feel it that way, now you're a Red too, from afar always wishing you the best ¡VAMO ARRIBA!"
