Newsboy's horseracing tips for Friday's five meetings include a strong fancy for Tilani at Bath and Orionis at Goodwood.
Tilani Chases Hat-Trick at Bath
TILANI is expected to complete a quickfire hat-trick in the Download The Fairplay App Now Handicap (6.15) at Bath on Friday. The four-year-old, formerly trained in Ireland by Mick Halford and Dermot Weld, joined Ian Williams in 2026. After two defeats at Wolverhampton and Musselburgh, he broke through at Newbury last Thursday, winning an apprentice handicap over a mile. Williams then turned him out at Great Yarmouth on Wednesday, where he followed up with a length-and-three-quarter victory over Kamaway, ridden by Jack Dace.
Tilani now carries a 5lb penalty for that success, but with Dace's 5lb claim proving valuable, he is thriving under Williams' care and expected to maintain his form.
Orionis to Shine at Goodwood
At Goodwood, ORIONIS is tipped to make a winning return for William Haggas in the British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Handicap (3.42). The daughter of Sea The Stars progressed well in 2025, winning at Ripon, Windsor, and Newbury. Although a BHA mark of 90 requires a personal best after a 230-day break, Cieren Fallon's mount can deliver.
