Racing expert Newsboy has pinpointed his standout selections for a busy Monday of action across four British racecourses on December 7th, 2025. His strongest fancy of the day, the Nap, runs at Wolverhampton, while a Fontwell hurdler completes his recommended Daily Double.
Wolverhampton Nap Expected To Continue Progress
The focus on Monday afternoon is Wolverhampton's nine-race all-weather card, where the spotlight falls on the opening contest at 4.30. Newsboy has selected Emma's Letter as his best bet of the day in the 1m1f nursery.
Trained by Ed Dunlop, the filly broke her maiden at the fourth attempt last time out, scoring over a mile at Newcastle. Ridden by Rob Hornby that day, the daughter of Saxon Warrior made smooth progress from midfield, hitting the front with a furlong to run and keeping on well to win by half a length.
Her form prior to that victory also reads well, having been a narrow second at Leicester and then denied by just a short-head at this very Wolverhampton track back in October. With Hector Crouch taking the ride today, Emma's Letter is fancied to progress again and prove hard to beat.
Fontwell Fancy To Complete The Double
Over at Fontwell's jumps meeting, Newsboy is looking to the in-form yard of Joe Tizzard to land the second leg of his double. His choice is Mask Of Zorro (1.35) in the Mercedes-Benz Of Chichester Handicap Hurdle over an extended two and a half miles.
The five-year-old gelding showed marked improvement on his handicap debut when stepped up to this course and distance last time. Always travelling prominently, the son of Masked Marvel found plenty after the final flight to secure a three-and-a-quarter-length victory.
Facing eight rivals this afternoon, Mask Of Zorro is the next best selection of the day and the horse tasked with completing Newsboy's Daily Double alongside Emma's Letter.
