Six members of the Lionesses' victorious Euro 2025 squad have been made MBEs in King Charles's birthday honours list. Among them is Michelle Agyemang, who at 20 is the youngest person on this year's list. The Arsenal forward is joined by fellow double-winners Chloe Kelly, Hannah Hampton, Alessia Russo, Jess Carter, and Lauren James.
Kelly scored the decisive penalty in the 2025 final against Spain, while Hampton saved two in the shootout. The honours follow several other England players and staff who were recognised in the new year list.
Dame Helen Mirren has been made a Companion of Honour for services to drama. The Oscar-winning actress, who portrayed Elizabeth II in the 2006 film The Queen, joins a select group limited to 65 members at any time.
Former rugby league player Kevin Sinfield has been knighted for his campaigning and fundraising to tackle motor neurone disease. The honours list also recognises charity founders, actors, and musicians for their service to Britain.
Other notable recipients include James Brown, founder of Lifesavers Scotland, who received an MBE for transporting blood products for the NHS. Alice Outten, who started Prom Ally to provide dresses and suits for school leavers, was awarded a British Empire Medal.
The list comprises 1,182 honours, with 49% of recipients at CBE level and above being women. Nearly 12% come from an ethnic minority background, and more than 15% declared a disability or long-term health condition.
