Manchester United's Sesko and Mbeumo Withdraw from International Duty

Manchester United forwards Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo have both withdrawn from their respective national team squads for the upcoming international break. The duo will not travel to represent Slovenia and Cameroon, instead remaining at Carrington for the next fortnight.

Fitness Concerns Not Linked to Leeds Fixture

Despite their withdrawal, the strikers' fitness issues are not expected to rule them out of Manchester United's crucial Premier League match against Leeds United on April 13. Both players featured in United's recent 2-2 draw at Bournemouth, with Sesko replacing Mbeumo in the 71st minute of that encounter.

Sesko was scheduled to join Slovenia for matches against Hungary and Montenegro over the next ten days, while Mbeumo was set to link up with Cameroon for friendlies against Australia and China. Their absence from these fixtures provides an opportunity for recovery ahead of the domestic league resumption.

International Commitments for Other United Players

The withdrawal of Sesko and Mbeumo leaves Manchester United with eleven players departing on international duty during this break. Notably, Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire have returned to the England setup under manager Thomas Tuchel and will feature in matches against Uruguay and Japan.

Midfielder Manuel Ugarte will face his Manchester United teammates this Friday when Uruguay take on England at Wembley Stadium, before Uruguay's subsequent fixture against Algeria next week. Portuguese internationals Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot will represent Portugal against World Cup co-hosts Mexico and the United States.

Other international commitments include Casemiro and Matheus Cunha traveling to the United States to face France and Croatia, while goalkeeper Altay Bayindir aims to help Turkey secure World Cup qualification in their play-off semi-final against Romania.

Additional International Fixtures

Amad Diallo's Ivory Coast will face South Korea in Milton Keynes before remaining in England to take on Scotland at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium. Belgium, managed by Senne Lammens, will also face Mexico and the United States during this international window.

The international break provides both challenges and opportunities for Manchester United's squad, with some players gaining valuable match experience while others like Sesko and Mbeumo focus on recovery ahead of the Premier League's resumption next month.
