Bruno Fernandes scored a hat-trick and added an assist as Manchester United secured their first win of the season with a commanding 5-2 victory over Ipswich at Old Trafford. The captain responded in style to his PFA Player of the Year win, bouncing back from last week's defeat to Hull.
Ipswich stun Old Trafford before United fight back
Leif Davis shocked the home crowd by putting the visitors ahead, latching onto a cross that came across the box and rifling an effort into the top of the net. But before half-time, Matheus Cunha took advantage of a slip in midfield by Marcelino Nunez to set up Fernandes, who made no mistake to equalise.
An own goal by Jacob Greaves - controversially given despite VAR noting Harry Maguire's handball - gave United the lead. Fernandes then added a penalty and his third of the evening before assisting Bryan Mbeumo for the fifth.

Senne Lammens - 7: Forced into a flying save to stop Daezen Maeda from opening the scoring when through on goal after 20 minutes. Had no chance of saving Davis' powerful effort.
Defence
Diogo Dalot - 7: Came inches away from breaking the deadlock, but for a fingertip save from Kjell Scherpen. Steady enough with the ball and dealt with Ipswich's threat well.
Harry Maguire - 7: Can thank his lucky stars that his wayward shot was deflected in, and negated Maguire's handball in the build-up, but can be pleased with his performance.
Lisandro Martinez - 6: His vision was missed against Hull. There had been doubts about his long-term future at the club but United need to hold onto the best centre-back at the club. Caught in possession for Chuba Akpom's late consolation.
Luke Shaw - 4: Worryingly beaten for pace by Julio Encisco despite having a headstart of several yards early in the match. Moments later he was all at sea when Fatawu drove at him and set up Davis to score the opener.
Midfield and attack impress
Kobbie Mainoo - 7: Added a calmness and reliability to the midfield. Plenty of new signings have arrived but Mainoo may yet still be the best midfielder at the club.
Youri Tielemans - 6: Improved in the second half but would not be much of a surprise if Andrey Santos partnered Tielemans at Everton next week.
Bruno Fernandes - 10: Three goals and an assist. It doesn't get much better than that from Captain Fantastic. One of the best performances the Premier League will witness this season. The pass for Mbeumo highlighted just how good the creator-in-chief is, somehow finding the winger in the pouring rain with the ball over his shoulder. He's the PFA Player of the Year for a reason.
Bryan Mbeumo - 7: Late tracking back allowed Davis in to score and left fans scratching their heads when he failed to convert from yards out with the goal gaping. But he recovered to produce a terrific finish late on for United's fifth.
Matheus Cunha - 8: Some clever touches and didn't enter the left channel too often, congesting Rashford's space as he did against Hull. He laid the perfectly-paced pass for Fernandes to run onto and equalise.
Marcus Rashford - 7: Provided a genuine threat on the left with the ball and through dangerous runs in behind. Somehow managed to rescue an overhit cross and set up Mbeumo just inches from goal, but the Cameroon winger could only hit the bar.
