Manchester United secured their first Premier League points of the season with a 5-2 comeback victory over Ipswich at Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes was the standout performer, scoring a hat-trick after the hosts had trailed early.
United fight back after early scare
Leif Davis gave Ipswich the lead, but Fernandes levelled before half-time and then ran riot after the break. A Jacob Greaves own goal from a Harry Maguire shot put Michael Carrick's side ahead, with Bryan Mbeumo also on target before Chuba Akpom tapped home a consolation for Ipswich.
The result was a perfect response for United after they were beaten at Hull last week.

Senne Lammens: Two excellent first-half saves before he was beaten, and alert to deny Davis a second goal at a point when United were wobbling. 7
Diogo Dalot: Went close with an excellent left-footed shot and defended positively, aside from one moment when Maeda beat him for pace. Better in the final third and a couple of good crosses. 7
Harry Maguire: A poor first half but recovered his poise after the break. Got lucky with the goal as it would have been disallowed had his shot not deflected in. 6
Lisandro Martinez: His impact on the team was clear with his passing. Some crisp forward balls into midfield and the feet of the attackers. 7
Luke Shaw: Given a tough time by Fatawu. Committed too soon for the goal and then lacked the pace to get back to his man. Needs competition at left-back. 5
Midfield and attack impress
Youri Tielemans: Some good passing and dovetailed well with Mainoo, despite the lack of an obvious No. 6. Will look at home if United can control games the way they did in the second half. 7
Kobbie Mainoo: Excellent in possession, combative and tenacious without the ball. Played deeper than Tielemans and good defensively. 8
Bryan Mbeumo: Switched off to allow Davis to score and didn't learn when the left-back almost got a second. Not yet kicked on from a bright pre-season. 6
Bruno Fernandes: Quiet game until he scored in the first half and was then unplayable. A third hat-trick for United. Confidence on show when he went close from halfway. 9
Marcus Rashford: A very positive performance. This was the Rashford of old, full of intent and aggression when running with the ball and tracked back diligently as well. 8
Matheus Cunha: Better as the No. 9 than last week. Won the penalty and teed up the first goal with a good pass to Fernandes. Movement was good. 7
