Man City vs PSG: Maresca has clean bill of health for UCL clash

Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca has a clean bill of health as his side prepare to face Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.

The match marks City's first home game since an independent commission found the club guilty of all charges related to serious breaches of the Premier League's financial regulations over a nine-season period between 2009/10 and 2017/18. City deny any wrongdoing and have appealed the verdict.

Foden available but Cherki keeps No10 role

Phil Foden is available for selection after serving a three-match domestic ban either side of the international break, following his sending-off in last month's Manchester derby. However, the attacking midfielder is unlikely to be handed an immediate recall, with Rayan Cherki having cemented his place in the No10 role.

Jeremy Doku could make his first start since August after a telling contribution as a substitute at Anfield. The Belgian helped set up Erling Haaland's goal, scored himself and was fouled by Ryan Gravenberch, which led to a red card.

Predicted lineup and team news

One of Antoine Semenyo or Iliman Ndiaye is at risk of making way for Doku, while Josko Gvardiol for Nico O'Reilly could be the change in defence, as the England international struggled against Victor Munoz.

Gianluigi Donnarumma is set to face his former club for the first time since leaving the Parc des Princes, and Haaland will lead the line as he bids to score in a seventh successive Man City game.

Predicted Man City XI: Donnarumma; Nunes, Dias, Guehi, Gvardiol; Anderson, Fernandez; Semenyo, Cherki, Doku; Haaland.
