Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca begins his new Etihad Stadium chapter this afternoon against AFC Bournemouth in his first Premier League match in charge.
It has been a week of turmoil for City with Rodri and Tijjani Reijnders leaving the club. Rodri's exit will be felt more personally by the Blues fans, and the search has continued this week to sign his replacement.
Team news and injury latest
Elliot Anderson is in a position to take on the defensive midfield role. Mateo Kovacic played in the 'Rodri' role against Arsenal last weekend, but the £116m summer signing could be trusted in that role today.
Matheus Nunes has recovered from an injury that saw him removed from the bench last weekend, but Jeremy Doku will be out for two to three weeks.
Maresca could give Jack Grealish a start with Doku injured. He came on for the second half in Cardiff and has been offered the opportunity by the City head coach to regain his spot.
Doku injury blow
Doku will miss the opening weeks of the season after picking up a calf injury during the Community Shield. The Belgian winger was one of City's best players last year but will be sidelined for the opening weeks of this campaign in another blow for the Blues.
Doku only returned to the club last week after being given extra leave following his efforts with Belgium getting to the World Cup quarter-final. He was thrown straight into the starting XI against Arsenal in Cardiff but was only ever going to play 45 minutes before being replaced.
However, the 24-year-old felt an issue in his calf that subsequent scans showed was a minor problem. He will definitely miss the Bournemouth game and could also miss matches against Crystal Palace and Coventry.

Last weekend was merely a warm-up for the Blues and Maresca. Most, if not all, City fans would sacrifice the Community Shield if it meant they won today, and that is the goal this afternoon. Rodri's exit to Barcelona will have stung, regardless of how inevitable it was, but the Blues have to look to the future.
Anderson has a lot of expectations on his shoulders today and will be hopeful to build on last weekend's performance. As always, Haaland will be the main source of goals for City and will lead the line.
Under Guardiola, City made the Etihad Stadium a fortress, losing just two of their 19 Premier League home matches last season. Maresca will be hoping for similarly impressive home form this year.
