Manchester City have made footballing history by agreeing to the most lucrative kit sponsorship deal ever seen in the Premier League. The reigning champions have signed a monumental 10-year contract with German sportswear giant Puma, worth an astonishing £650 million.
The deal, which begins in the 2025-26 season, dwarfs previous Premier League kit agreements, including Manchester United's £75m-per-year deal with Adidas and Arsenal's arrangement with the same manufacturer worth £60m annually.
Financial Powerhouse
This landmark agreement further cements Manchester City's position as a financial powerhouse in world football. The £65m annual payment from Puma represents a significant increase from their current deal with Nike, estimated at around £20m per year.
Strategic Partnership
Puma will become the official kit supplier for all Manchester City teams, including:
- The men's first team
- The women's team
- The academy sides
- The esports division
The German company will also gain exclusive rights to produce City-branded merchandise and training wear.
Global Brand Expansion
City Football Group's Chief Commercial Officer commented: "This partnership with Puma represents a perfect alignment of ambitions. Their innovative approach to product design and global distribution network will help take our brand to new markets worldwide."
The deal comes at a time when Manchester City continue to dominate English football, having won six of the last seven Premier League titles. Their commercial success off the pitch now matches their achievements on it.
