Liverpool to Face Wrexham at Yankee Stadium as US Tour Confirmed

Liverpool have confirmed they will return to the United States this summer for three pre-season friendlies, including a match against Wrexham at Yankee Stadium. The Reds will face Sunderland in Nashville on July 25, Wrexham in New York on July 29, and Leeds United in Chicago on August 2.

The fixture against Wrexham, now in the Championship, is expected to draw around 50,000 fans to the iconic baseball venue. Wrexham's Hollywood owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, are likely to attend, having overseen the club's rise from the National League to the second tier.

Liverpool's tour begins at Nashville's GEODIS Park, a 30,000-capacity stadium, for the club's first-ever visit to Tennessee. The final match will be at Chicago's Soldier Field, which holds approximately 67,000 spectators.

The club estimates it has 26 million fans in the United States, its number one international retail market. The tour is seen as a lucrative opportunity ahead of the 2026 World Cup, with the final set for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

During the tour, the LFC Foundation will engage in community activities and events featuring club legends including Sir Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, and Tash Dowie. Liverpool's 2024 US tour included matches against Real Betis, Arsenal, and Manchester United.
