Bradley Barcola is available for Liverpool's Premier League match against Brighton after returning to full training on Friday. The French winger was absent from a training session on Thursday, reportedly working on an individual programme away from his team-mates.
Barcola has played in every Premier League match for Liverpool since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in a £123million transfer over the summer. He resumed full training on Friday and is set to maintain that ever-present record.
Iraola confirms Barcola fitness
"Bradley has trained today normally, he is fine," Iraola said in the pre-match press conference. "It was no problem, just a matter of sometimes you have have to deal with the load and consider sometimes they have to stay inside but he is fine."
Manager Iraola faces a selection decision in the wide areas after Rio Ngumoha and Cody Gakpo impressed in midweek, though Alexander Isak is expected to start ahead of Lewis Koumas up front.
Team news and injury update
Victor Munoz is a doubt after sustaining a minor knee injury in last weekend's win over Brentford. The winger missed Tuesday's match, and Iraola is unsure whether he can return for the visit to Anfield.
Florian Wirtz could be recalled after scoring as a substitute in midweek, likely replacing Trey Nyoni, which would see Ryan Gravenberch drop into a central midfield role alongside Alexis Mac Allister.
Dominik Szoboszlai will miss the Brighton game with a hamstring injury and is training alone. Jeremie Frimpong's muscle issue is expected to keep him out for around a month, joining Hugo Ekitike, Giovanni Leoni and Conor Bradley on the sidelines.
Predicted Liverpool XI
Predicted Liverpool XI vs Brighton (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Araujo, Jacquet, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Ngumoha, Wirtz, Barcola; Isak.
Injured: Szoboszlai, Frimpong, Ekitike, Leoni, Bradley. Doubts: Munoz.
The match kicks off at 2pm GMT on Sunday October 25, 2026 at Anfield, with coverage on Sky Sports. It is the first of four consecutive home matches for Liverpool across three competitions, with Chelsea visiting in the Carabao Cup last 16 next Wednesday and Arsenal following at the start of November.
