Liverpool have launched their new 2026/27 Adidas away kit by lighting up the Empire State Building in New York in club colours. The white strip, now available to buy, draws inspiration from away kits of the 1980s and combines timeless design with modern performance innovation, according to the club.

The Reds pulled out all the stops on Tuesday to showcase the away shirt, which will be worn with red shorts and white socks and features the iconic Adidas Trefoil logo and three stripes. The Empire State Building was bathed in red in tribute to the club, while an event took place beside the East River in Brooklyn, offering views across New York's iconic Manhattan skyline.
Liverpool also covered an NYC taxi in white and red, displaying the club's badge and the Adidas Trefoil logo, to promote the new kit. The Reds will wear it in their pre-season friendly against Wrexham at Yankee Stadium in New York on Wednesday.
Club Legends Attend
Two of Liverpool's greatest players, Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler, were present at the Brooklyn event. Fowler was heard saying: "I think myself and Rushy would love to be wearing this shirt, scoring the winner at Old Trafford against Manchester United."
Alongside the shirt, Liverpool are launching a lifestyle clothing range and training kit to complement the strip.

New Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola enjoyed an impressive beginning to his Anfield tenure at the weekend by masterminding a 4-2 triumph against Sunderland at Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee. His upcoming test will see him take on Championship outfit Wrexham.
Liverpool's anticipated first-choice left-back, Milos Kerkez, understands precisely what it means to play under Iraola. The Hungarian defender featured in Iraola's Bournemouth side before securing a substantial move to Merseyside 12 months ago. "I was delighted, honestly," Kerkez told ESPN when asked about Iraola's appointment. "I worked for him before, and he helped me and improved me a lot in the two years that I spent with him. I was really happy, obviously for myself but also for the team. Everyone knows what type of football he plays, so I think he is the perfect fit for us."
Discussing Iraola's attacking, high-energy approach, Kerkez added: "It's the intensity. He's not scared to play one-on-one all over the pitch, to press high and to be on the front foot always. If you see footage of how we all are after training, all lying down, then you can see what he is preparing us for. You definitely need legs and good condition for what he wants us to do, but we will be alright."
