Liverpool have yet to make a signing this summer, but talks with Paris Saint-Germain over Bradley Barcola are ongoing as PSG close in on transfer activity of their own.
Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz remain yet to appear in pre-season, with Jacquet nearing his Liverpool debut after injury and Munoz, a World Cup winner with Spain, almost at the end of his post-tournament break.
PSG prepare for Barcola exit
PSG appear to be planning for life without Barcola by moving for two wide players. According to the Liverpool Echo, PSG have begun talks with Ajax over a £51m move for Mika Godts. They are also close to a £43m deal for Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche.
With Desire Doue, Ibrahim Maye and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia already at the club, PSG's wide options look increasingly crowded, pushing Barcola towards the exit. Liverpool are unwilling to meet PSG's £145m valuation, but the anticipated arrivals of Godts and Akliouche should give the Reds greater leverage.
Inter ready to improve Jones bid
Inter Milan are preparing to increase their offer for Curtis Jones. The Serie A club, who have already completed a deal for John Stones, previously saw a bid of around £21m rejected.
Inter are now set to come forward with a £30m proposal, still short of Liverpool's £35m asking price for the 25-year-old, who has 12 months remaining on his contract. Representatives working for Inter have re-established contact with Liverpool and have indicated a willingness to raise their bid.
