Leeds United are facing a potential injury crisis ahead of Sunday's Premier League trip to Sunderland, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor and Anton Stach all rated as "major doubts" by head coach Daniel Farke.
The three forwards formed the attacking line-up in the previous outing against Manchester United, as they have on several occasions this campaign, but none of them has taken part in training ahead of the clash at the Stadium of Light.
Losing even one of the trio would be a setback for Leeds, who lack depth in attacking options, but being without all three would be a significant blow to Farke.
Injury Details and Positive News
Calvert-Lewin and Stach are both carrying foot injuries, while Okafor is struggling with an adductor problem that has ruled him out this week. The only positive news is that Wales international Daniel James has returned to full training and is expected to be fit to start if needed, according to Leeds Live.
"We have to wait a little and assess who is available for this game. Obviously, Joe Rodon is still out doing his rehab work. Our offensive players from the last game are all doubtful," Farke explained.
"Dominic Calvert-Lewin got a tackle and a foul late on in the last game and he is struggling with a bruise on his foot so there is a question mark about his availability. Anton Stach is the same with a foot problem after the last game and it is painful at the moment. So there is a question mark about his availability."
Farke's Assessment
Farke added: "Noah Okafor is struggling with some abductor problems. If the game was today all three wouldn't be available. The positive news is we still have two days so we will try to make them available. The question is who of them will be available and for how many minutes. We need to assess them and take some major decisions, but all three are major doubts."
Leeds will make a late decision on the trio's fitness, with the match at Sunderland scheduled for Sunday.
