Lampard's Verdict on Wrexham
Lampard, who guided Coventry to the Championship title and a return to the top flight after 25 years, acknowledged the remarkable transformation at Wrexham. He recalled facing the club during his loan spell at Swansea in the mid-1990s, noting the stark contrast between then and now. "It's a brilliant story that I think we've all followed to some degree," he said. "To think where that stadium and team was back then to where it is now... It's obviously got a big following and to see what the owners have done, coming at it from a different angle and with a lot of passion, everyone's bought into it."

Phil Parkinson's squad currently occupy sixth place in the Championship, with their play-off fate in their own hands. A fourth consecutive promotion would see them emulate Coventry's achievement, though Lampard cautioned that such success is not guaranteed. "They've come up and they've invested and they've tried to have a go in the Championship this year. I think it's a really positive story in general," he added.

The Stamford Bridge managerial carousel has resumed after Liam Rosenior's dismissal, with Lampard linked to the vacancy. However, Sky Blues chairman Doug King dismissed the rumours, stating: "Everybody is going to get linked with everything, it's a merry-go-round. It's a bit disappointing clubs are appointing three or four managers a season." King emphasised Lampard's emotional connection to Coventry, adding: "He's found a happy place at the moment. It doesn't mean there's not going to be some staggering bid for him in the summer and he'll have to make his choices."
