Wide receiver KC Concepcion has undergone a knee procedure, raising concerns just over a month before the NFL Draft. The Texas A&M standout, widely tipped as a potential first-round pick, had arthroscopic surgery performed by Dallas Cowboys team doctor Daniel Cooper.
According to NFL Insider Mike Garafolo, the procedure was routine and Concepcion is expected to be ready for rookie minicamp in May. However, the timing is less than ideal as teams such as the San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, and Buffalo Bills have been linked to the 21-year-old with their first-round selections.
Concepcion recorded 61 catches for 919 yards and nine touchdowns in his final college season. His draft stock rose at the combine, where he spoke openly about overcoming a childhood stutter, a challenge he shared with his father, Kevin, a Bills fan.
Despite the surgery, analysts believe Concepcion could still be selected late in the first round, though some teams may now weigh the potential risk.
