Cash, enjoying one of his strongest seasons at Villa, highlighted McGinn's consistency and leadership. 'He's probably one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, consistently,' Cash said. 'He's quite underrated, to be fair. He's such a leader, a silent leader on the pitch.'
McGinn, the club's longest-serving player since joining in 2018, has played a key role in Villa's progression. Both players are set to feature in Wednesday's Europa League final, which could be the last chance for this core group to win silverware together. Cash noted that McGinn is likely to win the Player of the Season award.
Cash also praised McGinn's impact off the pitch, calling him a fantastic captain. 'There's no one who deserves it more than him at this club,' he added. 'For him, a trophy is one thing to have.'
