Jim Goodwin will return to the Dundee United touchline this weekend. The Irishman will be in the dugout for Saturday's trip to St Mirren after missing the last two games following a health scare.
Return to the Dugout
The 44-year-old wasn't at Fir Park or Rugby Park for the games against Kilmarnock and Motherwell, but was back in the stands at Tannadice to watch last weekend's draw with Falkirk. Goodwin had dropped into training but is now back full-time. After being given the all-clear to return, he will hold his first public press conference tomorrow.
It will be a massive boost to Dundee United to have their manager back on the frontline. Assistant Lee Sharp had taken the team while Goodwin recovered. He will now return and look to get his United team back to winning ways in Paisley.
Agyei Injury Blow
Meanwhile, Dundee United's Emmanuel Agyei could be sidelined for the next three months. The midfielder has suffered ligament damage. United's medical staff are waiting to see how it settles, but the estimation is that it could take anything from between eight to 12 weeks.
It is a blow for United although the 21-year-old was suspended for this weekend's trip to St Mirren, after his red card at Motherwell. The Ghanaian will miss a fair chunk of games, including Hibs, Aberdeen, Rangers and Celtic. The positive is that the upcoming two international breaks mean he won't miss as much club football as he would have.
Agyei has been a key figure for United since he moved to Tannadice from FC Ashdod in January. His impressive form saw him called up to the Ghana squad, although he missed out on the World Cup.
