Newcastle United head coach Matthias Jaissle is confronting the first significant setback of his tenure after three defeats in the club's last four Premier League matches. His side travels to Crystal Palace on Sunday, where only a positive result will lift the mood on Tyneside.
Bright Start Fades into Work in Progress
The team's promising opening to the season has become a distant memory, yet with just nine games played, this Newcastle side remains very much a work in progress under Jaissle.
The head coach will have additional options available this weekend, with Dan Burn, Amar Dedic and William Osula all expected to play larger roles at Selhurst Park.
Injury News and Tactical Response
Live updates from the United camp will provide the latest on injuries, alongside Jaissle's thoughts on his formation and tactics. The head coach is also expected to address the team's recent lack of goalscoring chances and the mistakes that have proven costly in recent outings.
Crystal Palace's own struggles are also set to be a topic of discussion as the Magpies prepare for Sunday's encounter.
