Jack Hendry was involved in a heated confrontation with former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou after Al-Ettifaq surrendered a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 to Al-Nassr, who finished the match with 10 men.
The Scotland international was visibly frustrated at the full-time whistle after Al-Ettifaq allowed three late goals to slip. Hendry, 31, argued with players from the Saudi Pro League champions before exchanging angry words with Postecoglou, who did not back down.
Ronaldo subbed off before comeback
Cristiano Ronaldo was substituted at half-time before Al-Nassr's dramatic comeback. Hendry left Celtic before Postecoglou took charge at Parkhead, and their clash took place within earshot of two other former Celtic figures.
Moussa Dembele started the match, and Jordan Larsson, son of Henrik Larsson, was also on the pitch as tensions boiled over.
Hendry's new deal and Postecoglou's start
Hendry signed a new contract to stay in Saudi Arabia earlier this summer. Postecoglou has made a fast start in the Middle East, winning his first four matches in charge of Al-Nassr.
