Hannah Hampton Returns To England Squad For Euro 2025 Qualifiers

England manager Sarina Wiegman has recalled five Euro 2025 winners for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, with Hannah Hampton, Leah Williamson, Jess Carter, Alex Greenwood and Lauren James all returning to the squad. The Lionesses face Ukraine and Iceland in March as they begin their qualification campaign for the 2027 tournament in Brazil.

London City Lionesses defender Poppy Pattinson has earned her first senior call-up after previously representing England at youth levels up to under-23s. Uncapped 20-year-old Freya Godfrey retains her place, while Aston Villa goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck is recalled, with Manchester City's Khiara Keating dropping out.

Wiegman is without several familiar names due to injury, including Niamh Charles, Missy Bo Kearns, Ella Toone and Beth Mead. The squad also features Chelsea's Lauren James and Manchester City's Lauren Hemp among the forwards.
