Erling Haaland has been declared fit for Manchester City's Premier League match against Aston Villa, but three of his teammates remain injury doubts. Manager Enzo Maresca confirmed the striker is the only player who is 100 per cent available, while Nico O'Reilly, Matheus Nunes and Mateo Kovacic are still being assessed.
Injury Update Ahead of Villa Clash
Haaland was an unused substitute in midweek, while O'Reilly, Nunes and Kovacic all missed the game after the quartet picked up injuries against Ipswich. City will also be without Antoine Semenyo for the next eight weeks after he suffered a knee injury in that match.
Phil Foden's hat-trick in midweek suggests he could step up during Semenyo's absence, but Maresca will still be hoping to avoid further fitness problems.
Maresca's Assessment
Speaking ahead of the game, Maresca said: "We have a session this afternoon. They could all be available or not. They are still doubts. Yesterday they were all improving and we will see this afternoon. Erling is the only one who is 100 per cent available and the other three we need to wait on today's session."
Perfect Start on the Line
City are looking to extend their perfect start in the Premier League, having won their first seven games. They play Villa on Saturday lunchtime before Arsenal, who are three points behind them, take on Everton at home in the afternoon.
"The mood is very good, we are happy with our start but we are hungry for more wins," Maresca said. "Happy at the moment but we want more. We are happy with our start but we want more so we are going to try to prepare to win Saturday's game."
