Grealish dropped by Everton again after discipline breach

Jack Grealish is expected to be left out of Everton's squad for Monday night's Premier League match at Newcastle United, following a disciplinary breach that also saw him miss last week's Carabao Cup tie.

Unauthorised absence and manager's backing

The winger was sanctioned and excluded from the first-team squad after failing to report for a mandatory training session at Finch Farm without prior clearance from coaching staff. Manager David Moyes supported the club's decision, saying: "It was a club decision and I support it."

Grealish was dropped from the squad for the Carabao Cup fourth-round clash against Newcastle last Thursday, with Everton explaining his absence was due to a "breach of club discipline."

Fitness concerns and reported drinking

The Athletic has reported that Grealish is not expected to be involved in Monday's trip to Newcastle due to a lack of fitness. It remains to be seen whether he will return for Everton's following fixture at home to Coventry City on Friday.

According to The Sun, Grealish spent the nights of October 19 and 20 drinking until late in London and Cheshire respectively. He then missed Everton's game away at Arsenal on October 24 due to illness.
