Ryan Gravenberch has signed a new six-year contract with Liverpool, committing to the club until 2032. The Netherlands international, 23, has become a key figure under manager Arne Slot after initially joining from Bayern Munich for €40m (£34m) in 2023.
Gravenberch was a squad player in his first season but started 37 league games last term as Liverpool won the Premier League title. He has remained a regular this campaign and was eager to extend his stay. “I feel really, really good,” he said. “I was really proud to extend my contract at such a big club.”
The midfielder added that the trust shown by the club and manager made the decision easy. Liverpool believe Gravenberch is among Europe’s best midfielders and have moved to secure him until after his 30th birthday.
Gravenberch joins a growing list of players contracted until at least 2030, including summer signings Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giovanni Leoni and Giorgi Mamardashvili, as well as Cody Gakpo. Liverpool’s £428m wage bill last season underscores their ambition to compete for trophies.
