Gallagher Brothers Celebrate Together as Man City Win FA Cup
Gallaghers Celebrate Man City FA Cup Win at Wembley

Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher were all smiles as they celebrated together at Wembley after Manchester City lifted the FA Cup trophy. The brothers watched the action from an executive box as Antoine Semenyo’s moment of magic, 72 minutes in, gave City a 1-0 victory over Chelsea.

Hard-Fought Victory

Following a hard-fought game, they watched on as Prince William handed captain Bernardo Silva the trophy. City have now won both domestic cup competitions this season, having lifted the League Cup earlier in the campaign.

Silva's Emotional Farewell

After the final whistle, Silva, who is leaving the club at the end of the season, said: “I’m very happy. Everything about my journey at Man City was fantastic and it’s really nice to finish this way. Hopefully… we still have a small dream that we can fight for the Premier League.” He added: “With it being my last season, it’s special to give the fans another trophy – hopefully not the last one. Since I arrived it’s been 20, so that’s not bad. I’m just really happy to have enjoyed all of these moments with my teammates and with the fans.”

Guardiola's Future

Silva also expressed hope that manager Pep Guardiola would stay: “That’s his decision. It’s not for me to comment on that. I want the best for him and for Manchester City. Pep being the best manager in the world, if he stays that’s obviously better. But it’s his decision.” Guardiola has now won 20 major trophies at the club, but his work isn't quite done yet, as he turns his attention to the Premier League title race, with his team set to face Bournemouth away on Tuesday.

Prince William's FA Anniversary

Prince William, a devoted Aston Villa fan, celebrated his 20th anniversary as President and Patron of the FA. Earlier this week, he received a special gift to thank him for his dedication. He visited England boss Thomas Tuchel and his backroom staff at St George's Park to meet the “team behind the team” supporting England’s World Cup campaign. William was presented with an England shirt with the number 20 on the back, commemorating his two decades of service. England kick off their World Cup on June 17 against Croatia in Texas.

Upcoming Matches

City will finish their season playing Aston Villa at home on the final day on Sunday with a 4pm kick-off. Meanwhile, Chelsea will face Tottenham on Tuesday in an 8.15pm match before completing their Premier League campaign at Sunderland on Sunday, also at 4pm.
