Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher were all smiles as they celebrated together at Wembley after Manchester City lifted the FA Cup trophy. The brothers watched from an executive box as Antoine Semenyo's 72nd-minute goal secured a 1-0 victory over Chelsea. Prince William presented the trophy to captain Bernardo Silva.
City have now won both domestic cup competitions this season, having previously claimed the League Cup. Silva, who is leaving the club at the end of the season, said: 'I'm very happy. Everything about my journey at Man City was fantastic and it's really nice to finish this way.' He added: 'Since I arrived it's been 20 trophies, so that's not bad.'
Silva also expressed hope that manager Pep Guardiola would remain at the club, calling him 'the best manager in the world'. Guardiola has now won 20 major trophies with City and will focus on the Premier League title race, with an away game against Bournemouth on Tuesday.
Prince William, a devoted Aston Villa fan, celebrated his 20th anniversary as President and Patron of the FA. He visited England boss Thomas Tuchel at St George's Park and received an England shirt with the number 20 on the back. England begin their World Cup campaign on June 17 against Croatia.
City will finish their season at home against Aston Villa on Sunday, while Chelsea face Tottenham on Tuesday before concluding their campaign at Sunderland.
