FPL Gameweek 10: Bournemouth Assets and Arsenal Defenders

The dust has barely settled on another weekend of Premier League action, but Fantasy Premier League managers are already plotting their moves for Gameweek 10. With an early deadline of 6.30pm on Friday, November 6, there is little time to finalise teams.

Manchester United, Newcastle and Sunderland continue to struggle, Arsenal defenders remain valuable assets, and Tottenham are looking like a decent side. After last week's injury crisis, the situation appears more relaxed, but the early deadline remains a warning.

Bournemouth Players Offer Attractive Options

Bournemouth have started slowly again this season, but they are now showing the form that made them competitive last year. A favourable run of fixtures, beginning with a trip to Ipswich, makes their players increasingly appealing.

Evanilson (£6.4m) has improved recently, taking his FPL points tally to 52. However, his inconsistent two-point returns last season leave some doubt. At the back, James Hill (£5.5m) has become Bournemouth's defensive talisman, offering goal threat and bonus-point potential. His centre-back partner Antonio Silva (£5.1m) provides similar appeal for £0.4m less.

Further forward, Justin Kluivert (£5.9m) has shown his explosive capabilities, including two away hat-tricks during the 2024/25 campaign. Marcus Tavernier (£6.6m) remains the standout pick, with 55 FPL points and involvement in set-pieces making him a top midfield option.

Aston Villa and Arsenal Defenders to Consider

Aston Villa are finally hitting their stride under Unai Emery. Nicolas Jackson (£7.0m) was backed as a replacement for the injured Joao Pedro last week and delivered. With Villa facing a struggling Manchester United side next, Jackson remains a strong choice. John McGinn (£5.4m) offers a cheaper midfield route, while Johan Manzambi (£6.1m) has quietly accumulated 38 points.

Arsenal's defence has been a goldmine, with Ezri Konsa (£4.8m) returning 49 FPL points. However, William Saliba (£5.9m) is nearing a return, which could threaten Konsa's starting place. Despite this, Konsa is worth holding for now. Budget options like Bobby Thomas (£4.0m) and Bournemouth's Silva and Hill provide alternatives.

David Raya (£6.2m) remains an excellent goalkeeper option, while Jurrien Timber (£6.5m) and Riccardo Calafiori (£5.9m) are other Arsenal assets to consider. The advice is to hold Konsa at least until next week and save a transfer if possible.

Avoid Manchester United Players

Manchester United look poor, and no player is currently recommended. Bruno Fernandes (£11.7m) is too expensive given the better-value midfielders elsewhere. Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9m) is also difficult to justify while the team's performances remain miserable. Managers holding any United players are advised to sell them now.
